Wireless Control of the Stage Lift System at the Landestheater Linz
Modern stage technology moves people and loads—precisely, safely, and often in very confined spaces. During the modernization of the stage technology at the Landestheater Linz, the existing stage lifts were to be able to be flexibly activated and utilized.

Project Scope
The client needed a wireless network solution to flexibly integrate all stage lifts depending on the production. The control system had to be highly reliable and operate without the need for a hard-wired infrastructure. The challenge: limited installation space and the requirement that stage managers be able to integrate the lifts independently as needed.
Implementation
R3 Solutions implemented the system in the already cramped space and provided a plug-and-play solution for the stage managers. This allows the elevators to be integrated flexibly and safely into the control system as needed. Control and safety data are transmitted via CAN/UDP with a latency of 20 milliseconds.
Result
The wireless solution allows stage managers to easily use the technology—without time-consuming and error-prone network integration. The lifts are quickly ready for use depending on requirements, which significantly increases flexibility in stage operations.
