Our History

From Research to Industry

R3 Solutions emerged from research at RWTH Aachen University. What began as scientific work on reliable wireless transmission became the foundation of an independent company.

Founded in Berlin

The company was launched in Berlin in 2015. Since then, R3 Solutions has been developing wireless communication solutions for industry and turning a technological idea into a market-ready product portfolio.

EchoRing Conquers the World

With EchoRing, R3 Solutions established its own patented wireless technology designed for maximum reliability. Today, it is in use across four continents in some of the most demanding industrial environments.

From Product to Platform

With the Edge Family, R3 Solutions is expanding its portfolio to cover a significantly broader range of applications—from Wi-Fi 6E to DECT NR+ to EchoRing—all unified in a scalable device platform.

What sets us apart technologically is our direct access to our chip partners’ firmware. While others are limited to what standard interfaces provide, we work one level deeper, directly on the source code. This allows us to optimize reliability, latency, and roaming in ways that aren’t possible with standard products.

Texas Instruments: We are the only company in the world with access to the source code for the TI WiLink-8 chip. This is the foundation of our EchoRing technology.
Nordic Semiconductor: Direct firmware access to the nRF9151 chipset. The foundation for our DECT-NR+ development.

Our Team

Our team consists of more than 30 people from 9 countries who collectively speak over 15 languages: wireless engineers, firmware developers, application engineers, and sales professionals, united by a mission to redefine industrial wireless communication.

With three experts holding PhDs in wireless communications on our management team, we bring deep technical expertise and academic excellence to every project. Our CEO, Dr. Mathias Bohge, is also a member of the steering committee of the 6G Platform and is helping to shape the future of wireless communication.
