URLLC in accordance with the latest standards

With “Bridge X,” R3 now offers an industrial-grade wireless real-time data transmission solution based on Wi-Fi 6 and EchoRing. The high-performance, real-time-capable wireless Ethernet bridge is particularly suitable for applications in areas such as manufacturing and intralogistics and will be the focus of R3’s trade show presence during SPS 2022 in Nuremberg.

Bridge X enables broadband data transmission and delivers the benefits of the latest Wi-Fi 6 WLAN standard with simultaneous URLLC communication via EchoRing. For wireless control of industrial transport and production systems, Bridge X provides the highest level of reliability by extending current transmission technologies with high-performance connectivity elements. Bridge X uses R3’s proprietary EchoRing technology and is designed specifically for environments where autonomous systems must operate without interruption and with absolute fail-safe reliability.

In addition to the new Bridge X product, R3 will present the proven Bridge E at SPS 2022 (November 8–11, Messe Nuremberg, Hall 5, Booth 139), which recently achieved even higher reliability with the Summer Release thanks to packet loss rates that are one to two orders of magnitude lower and now features new capabilities. Among other things, Bridge E now features a new type of control interface (EchoRing Runtime Control Interface, ERCI), which enables the status of connected devices to be recorded via scripts and their respective functions to be adjusted via control commands. In addition, the R3 team will showcase concrete applications of EchoRing technology from various industries at SPS 2022. Even before SPS 2022, R3 will be represented at ROKLive 2022 in Gothenburg, Sweden, from October 24–27, and further trade show participation is planned for Automation Fair 2022 in Chicago, USA, on November 16 and 17.
