Problem statement

Our customer, a Japanese automotive supplier, uses AMR (autonomous mobile robot) to deliver materials to employees' workstations. This saves a considerable amount of walking.

A fail-safe radio connection to the manual emergency stop switches via the CIP Safety protocol is a prerequisite for the safe cooperation between AMR and employees.

Implementation scenario

We provided a replicable and scalable, locally oriented wireless network solution via the CIP Safety protocol, thereby integrating the emergency stop switches. The network connection has low latency and zero downtime.
